What Daisy Chat Does
Daisy Chat gives couples a dedicated text line for guest questions, updates, and wedding logistics. Instead of answering the same messages over and over, you give guests one number to text and Daisy Chat handles the common questions with the details you set up.
The fastest way to make that useful is to finish onboarding in order. Start with account access, create the wedding record, verify the phone number, then either add the first event manually or import from your wedding website.
Create account
Choose email and password, Google, or Apple to create access and sign in.
Create your wedding
Add both partners, the wedding date, and the phone number Daisy will verify next.
Verify your phone
Enter the 6-digit code so onboarding can continue without blocking.
Choose setup path
Pick manual setup for control or website import when your site already has logistics.
Add details
Create the first event or review the imported details before saving them.
Continue into the dashboard
Land in the wedding details and events area, then move into conversations and the rest of the app.
Before You Start
Have the core details ready before opening onboarding. The product moves faster when you can enter the basics in one pass instead of pausing to collect them later.
Create Account
Start by creating your Daisy Chat account. New users can sign up with email and password, Google, or Apple.
- Email and password signup creates the account and signs you in automatically.
- Google and Apple are available if you want a faster sign-in path.
- If you were invited to an existing wedding, you can skip this guide and join through the invitation flow instead.
Create Your Wedding
After account creation, Daisy asks you to create the wedding record. This is where the product gets the core identity and timeline details it needs before setup can continue.
- First name
- Last name
- Partner's first name
- Partner's last name
- Wedding date
- Phone number
Verify Your Phone
Phone verification unlocks the rest of onboarding. Daisy sends a 6-digit verification code to the number you entered on the wedding form.
- Enter the 6-digit code exactly as it appears in the text message.
- You can resend the code if needed, but resends may be rate-limited.
- If the original number was wrong, update the phone number before trying again.
- Once verification succeeds, onboarding can continue into the setup path choice.
Choose Your Setup Path
After verification, Daisy asks how you want to load the first wedding details. Choose the path that best matches how organized your information already is.
Best when you want precise control
Use manual setup when you want to add details one event at a time or when you only need to enter the first event to finish onboarding.
- Best for couples who want to review every field themselves.
- Useful when the wedding website is incomplete or not ready yet.
- Takes you straight into the event form and then into wedding details and events.
Best when your wedding site already has logistics
Use import when the schedule, venues, and related details already live on the wedding website and you want Daisy to pull them in as a first draft.
- Best for sites that already list the main events and logistics.
- Daisy scans the site and asks you to review imported details before saving.
- Because it is beta, expect to make edits after the first import pass.
Add Your First Event
If you choose manual setup, Daisy asks for the first event immediately. Completing this path finishes onboarding and takes you into the wedding details and events area.
- Event name
- Date
- Start time and optional end time
- Venue name
- Address details
- Google location selection so the venue is saved against a real mapped location
Import From Your Website
If you choose website import, Daisy collects the link and any access details it needs, then scans the site for events and other wedding information before asking you to review the draft.
- Wedding website URL
- Optional website password
- Optional guest name
- Daisy scans the site, extracts events and other wedding information, then asks you to review before saving.
- Import is beta, so expect to edit incomplete or incorrect details afterward if the site content is inconsistent.
What Happens Next
Once the first setup path is complete, Daisy lands you in the wedding details and events area. That is the working home for the wedding profile and the place you return to when you need to add or revise logistics later.
- Add more events whenever the schedule expands.
- Update wedding information later if plans or venue details change.
- Continue into conversations and the rest of the dashboard after onboarding is complete.
Troubleshooting
These are the most common setup blockers during first-run onboarding.
I did not get the code
Double-check that the phone number was entered correctly, confirm the device can receive texts, and then request another code if the resend option is available.
The resend button says to wait
Daisy rate-limits resends. Wait for the timer or cooldown period to finish, then request another code instead of repeatedly retrying.
My phone number was entered wrong
Go back and update the phone number before trying verification again. The rest of onboarding stays blocked until the correct number is verified.
Website import failed
Check the URL, password, and guest-name fields first. If the site is accessible but Daisy still cannot import it, continue with manual setup and contact support.
Import found incomplete or incorrect details
That can happen in beta, especially when the website uses unusual layouts or hides details across several pages. Review the imported information and edit what Daisy missed.
I was invited to an existing wedding
You do not need to create a new wedding from scratch. Join through the invitation flow and skip this new-owner onboarding path.
