How to Import Guests From Your Contacts App in Daisy Chat

If you’re like most people, you probably already have all your guests' contact info saved as contacts on your phone, which makes setting up your Daisy Chat guest list a breeze! By exporting these contacts as vCard files and importing them into Daisy Chat, you can quickly populate your guest list without manually entering each detail.

Let’s walk through the steps to make this happen.

Step 1: Open your Contacts app

Start by opening the native Contacts app on your computer. This is where all your contacts are stored, and from where you'll export the necessary details.

Step 2: Select guests

Browse through your contacts and select the guests you want to invite. You can click on each contact to select them individually, or if you’re selecting multiple guests at once, press and hold the "shift" key, then click on the additional contacts.

Step 3: Export Contacts

Once you've selected all the relevant contacts, look for an option like “Export to vCard” in the app menu. This option allows you to create a .vcf file containing the contact details of your selected guests.

Step 4: Choose save location

After choosing to export, select a save location that’s easily accessible, such as your device’s Downloads folder or your desktop. Remember where you save the file, as you’ll need to access it for the next step.

Step 5: Import to Daisy Chat

  • Open 'Guest List': Log into your Daisy Chat account and click on the 'Guest List' option on the left sidebar.

  • Add Guests: In the 'Guest List' section, click on the 'Add Guests' button.

  • Import from Contacts App: From the dropdown menu, select 'Import from Contacts App'.

  • Select vCard Files: Navigate to where you saved the vCard (.vcf) files, select it, and confirm the import. Daisy Chat will handle the rest, importing the contacts into your guest list.
