How to Send a Custom Message in Daisy Chat

Keeping your wedding guests informed is key to ensuring everything goes smoothly on your big day. Daisy Chat's custom messaging feature allows you to send targeted updates, reminders, and introductions to your guests. Here's how it works.


Step 1: Access custom messages 

Log into your Daisy Chat account and click on 'Custom Messages' from the left sidebar. This is where you can manage all your communications with guests.


Step 2: Choose a template 

Daisy Chat provides a variety of message templates to cater to different needs:

  • Introduce Daisy Chat: Ideal for your first message, welcoming guests and explaining how they can use Daisy Chat to communicate.

  • Collect addresses: Use this template to request postal addresses from your guests.

  • Share your wedding website: Send out a link to your wedding website for guests to explore more details.

  • Remind guests to RSVP: Gently prompt your guests to confirm their attendance.

  • Send a Custom Message: Craft a message for any other specific updates or announcements.


Step 3: Edit your message

Once you’ve selected your template, you can customize the content. On the screen, you'll see a preview on the left side, showing you exactly how your text will appear to your guests. Make any necessary adjustments to personalize your message.


If this is the first time a guest will receive a message via Daisy Chat, a welcome note will be included automatically. This note explains that they're receiving updates because they are part of your wedding guest list, ensuring clarity and context.


Step 4: Choose your recipients 

After editing, the next step is to choose who will receive this message. You can select all guests or filter recipients by specific groups, ensuring that only the relevant guests are contacted.


Step 5: Send your message 

Once you're satisfied with the message and have chosen your recipients, click 'Send message'. Your custom text will be sent out to the selected guests, providing them with timely and pertinent updates.


To view all the custom messages you've sent, click on the 'Sent Custom Messages' tab at the top of the Custom Messages section. Here, you can review specific messages to see their content, when they were sent, and who received them.
