How to Create Groups in Daisy Chat

Organizing your wedding guests into groups in Daisy Chat can streamline your communication, making it easier to send message blasts to specific sets of people, like "Out-of-Town Guests," "Bride's Family," or "College Friends."

This feature allows you to send updates or announcements to targeted groups without resorting to spammy group chats or the time-consuming task of texting individuals one by one. Here’s how you can set up groups quickly and efficiently.

Step 1: Access the guest list

Log into your Daisy Chat account and click on the 'Guest List' option on the left sidebar. This is where you manage all aspects of your guest interactions.

Step 2: Navigate to 'Groups'

Once in the 'Guest List' section, you’ll see a tab labeled 'Groups' at the top of the page. Click this tab to view or manage your existing groups or to create new ones.

Step 3: Create a new group

In the 'Groups' tab, click the yellow 'Create a group' button located in the top right corner of the page. This will open a new dialog where you can define the details of your new group.

Step 4: Add group details

In the pop-up window:

  • Group name: Enter a name for your group that reflects the guests’ common characteristics, such as "Family Members" or "Work Colleagues."

  • Description (optional): You can add a brief description of the group, which can be useful for remembering the purpose of the group or who should be included.

  • Choose guests: Select the guests you want to include in this group. You can add people to the group by clicking on their names from the list of guests you have already added to your guest list.

Step 5: Save and close

After you have entered all the details and selected all the appropriate guests for your group, click 'Save & Close'. Your new group will be saved, and you can now easily send targeted messages to this group via custom messages.
